The demo for Britney Spears’ new song Hold it Against Me from her seventh-studio album due in March leaked last week. Unfortunately, the demo is not performed by Spears, but by singer/songwriter Bonnie McKee (who sounds a lot like Ke$ha).
The demo is amazing, even if Bonnie McKee released this song it could be a top 10 hit, but with Britney on the track it’ll be her next big hit. The song has an incredible hook, and will most certainly be a hit with clubs. The song has all the makings of a standard Britney song, good verses that do not take much talent to sing, but are incredible anyway. We cannot wait.

After taking a week off letting Bruno Mars stay atop the Billboard Hot 100 Katy Perry’s Firework returns to the top. This is the fourth non-consecutive week this song has been atop the chart. Last year, Perry stayed at #1 for 6 weeks with California Gurls and an additional 2 weeks with Teenage Dream.
Last week’s chart victor Bruno Mars’s Grenade fell to #2 on the chart, and Ke$ha’s We R Who We R hung on to #3.
At last night’s People’s Choice Awards Katy Perry picked up the awards for “Favorite Female Singer” and “Favorite Web Celeb”
We LOVE Miranda Cosgrove! She acts her age, is hillarious, and makes fun music. After releasing the pop princess’ smash debut Sparks Fly last Spring Cosgrove is prepping the release of her second album. She premiered her first single Dancing Crazy and it is amazing! Its fun and we cannot wait for her record. The song is very Miley (circa 7 Things) a little Ke$ha for the auto-tuned chorus and she sounds exactly like Taylor Swift at the bridge, and we love it!
Can’t wait for the new album!

What do you think do you like Dancing Crazy?

This year is the one-year anniversary of Susan Boyle’s final week atop the charts with her album I Dreamed A Dream before Ke$ha knocked it out of the top spot with Animal. This week, Ke$ha is at #17 with Cannibal (30k) and Susan Boyle is at #39 with The Gift (15k)
Not bad for after Christmas sales? What CD Did U Pick Up This Week?
Although 2010 was filled with many great successes including Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, and Drake the year was also filled with some major flops. I mean, Did anyone now Christina Aguilera released an album in 2010? So at a point in the industry when you are only as popular as your latest hit the only underlying question is why? Looking back T.I., the Black Eyed Peas, Ciara, and Ne-Yo were some of the biggest stars in the industry, but 2010 failed for all of them, so we at thatLOUD are seeing why stars flop.
Part 1/4: Lack of a Hit Single
The Black Eyed Peas started 2010 as the industry’s biggest band. After releasing their increibly successful The E.N.D. in 2009, an album that spawned 5 Top 10 hits the band released their follow-up this November entitled The Beginning (lol, right). Unfortunately, although the albums fared similarly in titles they did not in critical and commercial performance. When E.N.D. spent two weeks at #1 Beginning peaked at #6.
The week E.N.D. was released the Band’s song Boom Boom Pow reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, not long after that I Gotta Feeling would reach the chart’s pinnacle and in March 2010 the Pea’s song Imma Bee topped the chart.
Beginning on the other hand only produced The Time which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, but the song is terrible. It represents their album very poorly, and many have called it the worst on the album.
This case is not unique to the Peas. Lee DeWyze, Christina Aguilera, and Ciara also failed to produce a hit single that attracted consumers to purchase their album. It is vital that an album consistently produces quality singles for the album to sell.
Next Up: Part 2/4: Likeabilty
This is Awesome!
For the first time in his carreer Wiz Khalfia will enter the Billboard Hot 100 tomorrow with his song Black and Yellow. The song spiked up when it came to downloads this week which may be attributed to the unwrapping of MP3 players and iTunes Gift Cards this weekend.
Also debuting in the top 10 is Enrique Inglases with Tonight. The song spiked in popularity also after the song’s NSFW video was released.
Trey Songz, Rihanna, Ke$ha, P!nk, and Nicki Minaj are also in the Bruno Mars led chart
After nearly a year together Pop-Superstar Rihanna and LA Doger Matt Kemp have called it quits.
A source confirms that the break-up happened over a period of time.
The pair confirmed their relationship in Elle magazine earlier this year. In February Kemp through a birthday party for Rihanna, their stepping-out moment.
Since then Rihanna has embarked on her Last Girl on Earth tour with Ke$ha and released her fifth studio album “Loud”.
The relationship was monumental as it was Rihanna’s first since her abusive debacle with Chris Brown.
Why do you think Rihanna and Matt broke up?
